ABOUT PAFA
Pakistani American Friendship Association was formed in 1973 with simple ideas of bringing the community together, staying connected, keeping our culture alive, and making a positive social impact. With focus on social and charitable activities, the community has successfully made Indiana a place many can call home. We plan events that keep our culture alive, help us stay in touch with our traditions, and introduce people of Indianapolis and neighboring cities to our wonderful heritage.

2024 Don Pedder Lifetime Achievement Award
We are thrilled to announce that PAFA President, Azher Khan, has been honored with the 2024 Don Pedder Lifetime Achievement Award.
PAFA NEWS
The inaugural meeting Pakistani Professionals took place on Saturday May 18th at the Carmel public library. A selected group of 32 professionals attended the meeting. This group discussed ideas about providing networking opportunities to Tech, Medical and Business professionals.
Here are some key decisions made
1. The group will meet again in person within 3 weeks to develop a mission statement, select a formal name for this group and decide meeting cadence.
2. Different platforms will be used to encourage collaboration including Linked in, WhatsApp and email.

Pedal for Peace
Pedal for Peace (www.pedalforpeace.org) connect people in Indianapolis area community to organizations promoting peace through education. Founder of the organization believes that the more opportunities we have to connect to our universal “oneness”, the more we will strive to eradicate suffering and bring hope to the hopeless. PAFA team participated in this event.

Culture & Urdu language Promotion
Culture and Urdu language promotion focuses on preserving and celebrating Urdu heritage through events and educational initiatives. It aims to foster appreciation, understanding, and pride in Urdu language and culture.
PAFA on behalf of Pakistanis living across Indiana welcome Malala YousufZai to their adopted home.
On behalf of Pakistanis living across Indiana, PAFA welcome Mr. Khizr Khan to Indiana. It gives us immense pride that this Pakistani born individual is serving as beacon of liberty in this land. His son served this nation by giving the ultimate sacrifice and his father is teaching and reminding all of us about true ideals on which this great nation was founded upon.
